Publications Scheme
Introduction
Integrity is one of our core values, and we are publicly
accountability through Defra to Parliament. We are committed to
working openly, honestly and with integrity, sharing information
with stakeholders and increasing the public understanding of
science.
Classes of information
The Publications Scheme is a guide to the information routinely
published by Cefas. Information has been set out in classes, or
topics, to provide easy access.
- Organisational information and structure
- Financial information and performance
- Operational polices and procedures
- Lists and registers
- The services we offer
It has been designed to assist in meeting our objectives and
core values. It also aims to meet the requirements set out in the
Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information
Regulations 2004.
Copyright
Cefas is a Crown body and the material listed in this scheme is
subject to Crown copyright. Please refer to our copyright page about
the use and re-use of Crown copyright material.
Access and fees
In all cases, we support and encourage the wide distribution of
the findings of our research. There is an exception: when
disclosure would adversely affect the confidentiality of commercial
information and where such confidentiality is protected by law in
order to protect a legitimate commercial interest.
Unless otherwise indicated, the information described
in our Publications Scheme is available from this website.
Printed versions are often also available from the address below.
The information is available free of charge unless otherwise
stated. When charges do need to be made, we
will make that clear in advance.
Information held by a public authority that is not published
under this scheme can be requested in writing. Such requests will
be considered in accordance with the provisions of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.
Feedback and contact
As the purpose of this scheme is to promote greater openness, it
is important that it fully meets your needs. General feedback and
suggestions for additional classes of information that could be
included are welcomed.
